Yes, we are located at 262-266 Park St in South Melbourne, Victoria, 3205. Our viewing mezzanine, shop and galleries are open to the public from Tuesday – Saturday 1pm – 5pm. Guided tours of the ATW operate on Wednesdays at 11am and Thursdays at 2pm. Bookings for tours are essential.
If arriving via public transport take the No 1 tram (South Melbourne Beach) in Swanston Street and alight at stop 24 or take the No 12 tram (St Kilda Beach) in Collins Street and alight at stop 129.
We are also open on some evenings for events, exhibition openings and lectures. Please refer to our what's on page for event listings.

The ATW has a range of large and small tapestries available for sale.Whether you are an experienced collector, considering your first tapestry, or looking for a unique gift there is something here for you. Yes, our 368 colour yarn range can be purchased through our online store or in person at the ATW. Our superior pure wool tapestry yarn is Border/ Merino cross, spun as 2/18 Nm on average and is 29 microns thick. All of our yarn is dyed by hand.

Our volunteers are integral to the ongoing success of the ATW. Volunteers assist with a variety of tasks, including arts administration, library administration, exhibition assistance, event set up and general housekeeping tasks. Click here to learn about our volunteer program.
