COVID-19 UPDATE

The Australian Tapestry Workshop will reopen to the public on Wednesday 3 November, 2021. We are offering two viewing sessions each day with a capacity limit of 5 visitors at anytime.

PLANNING YOUR VISIT + CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: 

- Visitors (aged 16 years and over) must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have a valid medical exemption, in line with the Chief Health Officer’s directions.
- On arrival, visitors will be required to check in using the Service Victoria app. Please scan our venue QR code, check in – an ATW staff member will ask to see your phone and will check for the two green ticks.
- Masks are required to be worn.
- Bookings are not required.
- To make things as easy as possible for you and for ATW staff, we ask that you please link your COVID-19 digital certificate to the Service Victoria app before your visit.

OPENING HOURS:

Tuesday to Friday
Session 1: 10 am – 12.30 pm
Session 2: 2 pm – 5 pm

During your visit you will have an opportunity to observe our weavers at work on tapestries from our mezzanine, and to look down into the colour laboratory where the yarns are dyed for production. ​The ATW has two galleries which feature curated exhibitions of tapestries, textiles and contemporary art on a rotating basis. We have also have a shop on site where we sell our exclusive yarns, with a colour range of 368 colours, as well as ATW cards, puzzles and books.

The ATW is closed on all Victorian public holidays.
The ATW administration office (for enquiries and deliveries) is open Mondays – Fridays, 9am – 5pm.
