Held by the Australian Tapestry Workshop, artists from around the world are invited to submit small-scale hand-woven tapestries that reflect an expressive use of tapestry through materials, concept, colour and design.

The Australian Tapestry Workshop is thrilled to announce the winners for the 2021 Kate Derum and Irene Davies Awards for Small Tapestries, celebrating excellence and creativity in contemporary tapestry.
In 2019, 84 artists from 20 countries were selected as finalists for the Kate Derum Award and the Irene Davies Emerging Artist Award for Small Tapestries.
In 2017, 59 artists from 14 countries were selected as finalists for the Kate Derum Award and 22 artists from 7 countries were selected for the Irene Davies Award.
In 2015, 75 entries were received from 12 countries for the prestigious Kate Derum and Irene Davies Awards.
The 2013 Kate Derum and Irene Davies Award showcased the work of 42 finalists from 14 countries.
The 2011 Kate Derum Award captured the attention of some of the world’s most accomplished tapestry artists with 63 entries received in total.
