In April 2019 artist and ATW collaborator Yvonne Boag delivered a ‘Weaving into Wellbeing’ program for 27 patients at Arterie at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney.
Arterie at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital’s 2019 program was developed in creative collaboration with ATW artist alumni Yvonne Boag. Based on Boag’s 'Park no 4' tapestry woven at the ATW in 2009 — weaving into wellbeing patients used ATW wool in a similar palette to the tapestry to create abstract interpretations of the work.
Since 2013 ‘Weaving into Wellbeing’ repurposes the ATW’s colourful waste yarn to create hands-on therapeutic activities resulting in a number of colourful outcomes. We are proud to collaborate with hospitals and care providers to develop and deliver this art as therapy program.
