Between 2012 to 2015, the ATW was delighted to join its Emerald Hill arts neighbours – Australian National Academy of Music, Arts Access Victoria, Auspicious Arts Incubator, Boon Wurrung Foundation, The Butterfly Club, Emerald Hill Library and Multicultural Arts Victoria, for an annual celebratory open day.
Supported by the City of Port Phillip, these open days celebrate the diversity of the Emerald Hill precinct in South Melbourne and give visitors an insight into the cultural and civic institutions that make up this creative hub with events that will engage the whole family.
Visitors to the ATW had the opportunity to explore the workshop, including the galleries, studio floor and balcony, meet weavers and artists in residence, as well as attend free guided tours and drop-in kids activities.
