Join Isabel Deakin of Kin Workshop to sew your own geometric felt necklace. Learn how to cut and transform felt shapes into wearable soft jewellery in a range of colour combinations. Participants will be able to create two different necklace designs. All materials included; no skills required.
This workshop is in conjunction with Isabel's exhibition of felt geometric vessels, 'Window Gazing' at the Australian Tapestry Workshop from Tuesday 4 October - Friday 29 October 2022.
Kin Workshop is an emerging craft and design workshop with a focus on the sculptural potential of textiles. Kin Workshop designs are meticulously constructed out of hand cut and hand sewn pieces. Isabel has developed a technique of piecing together fabric to form three dimensional objects inspired by the traditional craft of patchwork and informed by Isabel’s architectural training.
