ATW once again opened its doors to the public as part of Open House Melbourne 2018. Visitors had the opportunity to explore the ATW, including both gallery spaces, studio floor, and the mezzanine with a view to the Colour Laboratory.
Other highlights of the day included:
* Free guided tours of the building at 10:30 am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, 2:30pm
* All day drop-in kids weaving activities
* Community loom project
The popular AIR market, featuring previous and current ATW Artists in Residence also returned to Open House 2018 with stalls showcasing handmade artworks, crafts, textiles, jewellery and ceramics by:

Artist Rute Chaves (2018) also demonstrated her TRICOTAUTOMAT project, which invited participants to get their photo taken and have it knitted live and in real time.
