Our Weave-At-Home Kits include a range of the hand-dyed ATW yarn, the same yarn that is used to produce the workshop’s internationally renowned large scale tapestries. The yarn is sustainably sourced locally from Australian farms and dyed onsite by our ATW expert team of dyers in small, highly controlled batches.
When purchasing a kit through the the ATW shop you are able to choose between Pastels, Brights, Cool and Warm sets of yarn colours, with the colours specially selected to provide high contrast between each other in order to make your completed tapestry product visually effective. Alongside this you will receive a 70 x 40cm wooden loom frame, a loom clamp, two handmade wood and brass bobbins and cotton warp specifically designed for tapestry weaving.
Through instructional videos filmed by the Australian Tapestry Workshop team you will learn how to weave simple shapes and lines while exploring colour, pattern and texture using high-quality ATW dyed yarn.
