Weaving Lab

Saturday, November 28, 2026

Ready to take your weaving a step further? Weaving Lab is a hands-on workshop designed to build your weaving foundations, giving you the skills and confidence to continue your practice at home.

Working with a small wooden frame loom, you’ll learn how to warp a loom and establish a basic weaving structure, before exploring techniques for creating simple patterns and shapes, and experimenting with texture and colour. Discover how different yarns, fibres and materials can transform the structure and surface of your work.

With specialist weaving knowledge and guidance on hand, you’ll develop new skills while creating your own small woven artwork.

Whether you’re new to weaving or have joined us for Weaving Play, Weaving Lab is the perfect next step to deepen your understanding and build the foundations for tapestry. Leave with new skills, a finished woven piece and the confidence to keep weaving.
