We are delighted to announce the 12 artists and designers who will beATW Artists in Residence for 2018!

Congratulations to Alterfact (Ben Landau and Lucile Sciallano), Chloe Bensahel (USA), Carolyn Cardinet, Rute Chaves, Martina Copley, Sai-Wai Foo, Anne Graham (NSW), Bronwyn Hack, Melanie Irwin, Simone Kennedy (SA), Britt Salt and Siying Zhou.

This year we received 92 applications from artists and designers all around the world, making the selection process highly competitive.

The 2018 applications were assessed by Emeritus Professor Kay Lawrence AM, former Head of School, School of Art, Architecture andDesign at the University of South Australia, Director of theBoard of theAustralian Tapestry Workshopand tapestry weaver; Dr David Sequeira, Director of the Margaret Lawrence Gallery,Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne and Antonia Syme, Director of the Australian Tapestry Workshop.
