Martha Poggioli’s practice is centered on the body and its relationship to society and the built environment.

Her practice reflects upon and generates from industries of production and cultures of consumption, speculating upon process, ethics and value systems. I am concerned with the design and choreographic interactions of people, places and things.

Through ongoing research into representations of, and relations to the body and its environment, her output spans physical, performance and text activities. She is interested in the representation, repetition and process of the handmade.

During the residency Martha explored the notion of clothing off the body by continuing to develop a series Objects of Multiple Function.
