We are unique to Australia, and one of only a few workshops remaining in the world dedicated to hand-weaving contemporary tapestries. Our tapestries reflect a shared creative endeavour between artist, weaver and dyer.

Over 44 years, we have welcomed more than 80 weavers through our doors and created more than 500 tapestries. Our tapestries are known for their vibrancy and technical accomplishment. We have established a global reputation for innovation and excellence.

Donor supported commissions pave the way for us to nurture creativity and engage in artistic collaborations that bring ground-breaking tapestries to life. They challenge our tapestry weavers to innovate and experiment with interpretation, colour and technique as well as work with our specialist dyer to create new yarn tones. Donor supported commissions provide artists and architects with opportunities to explore and expand their practices through contemporary tapestry creation.
