One of the ATW’s key interests is creative collaboration, and it is in this spirit that the Artist in Residence (AIR) program has been developed.

The Artist in Residence program is open to contemporary artists at any stage in their career, working in any medium (not just tapestry or textile-based practice) to spend time working in the unique studio environment of the ATW in 2019. The residency is flexible, and artists can be part of the ATW for between 2 weeks to a maximum of 8 weeks, full-time or part-time.

The purpose of the residency is to encourage a rich cultural exchange between contemporary artists and ATW weavers.
