The ATW Christmas Party invited guests to join ATW weavers, staff, volunteers, supporters and friends for a night of festivities as we celebrated another wonderful year of contemporary tapestry at the ATW.
Guests were able to immerse themselves in the studio environment of ATW. Tapestries on display included Morning Star, designed by Lyndell Brown and Charles Green as well as Treasure Hunt by Guan Wei on the looms.
As part of the celebrations, Emeritus Professor Kay Lawrence AM delivered a short talk on the night titled Kay Lawrence and the ATW: Parallel Lives. This talk focused on Kay’s ongoing relationship with the ATW and her esteemed career as a tapestry weaver, educator and academic in the field of contemporary textile practice.
