'In House: Works by ATW Weavers’ celebrates the artistry and creativity of past and current weavers at the Australian Tapestry Workshop.
Australian Tapestry Workshop (ATW) weavers often pursue their own personal artistic practices alongside their collaborative weaving at the ATW. Many have employed a multidisciplinary approach to making artwork beyond tapestry, using a broad array of media and techniques that include paper, wood, embroidery, quilting, crochet and costume design.
As well as featuring work by the current production team, this exhibition reconnects former weavers with the ATW. This reunion through artistic practice is a celebration of the creativity and wealth of imagination that has passed through the organisation and continues to flourish on and off the ATW studio floor.
