Nicole Newton

Nicole Newton
ATW Board Member

Qualifications & Experience:
BA (Hons). University of Melbourne.

Nicole Newton has been involved in communication, public relations, journalism, issues management and crisis preparedness for 30 years. She now specialises in the healthcare sector, providing ongoing advice to Australia’s health regulators and specialist medical colleges.

Nicole provided strategic communications support to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons’ Expert Advisory Group on discrimination, bullying and sexual harassment, developed RACS’ campaign, Let’s Operate With Respect and has led the communications strategy to support long term cultural and behaviour change in the surgical profession. She has worked in the corporate and philanthropic sectors and specialises in communications, stakeholder engagement, issues management and media.

Nicole also works with Igniting Change, a purposely tiny social justice agency passionate about sparking positive change with people doing it tough in our communities. Igniting Change connects unlikely experts to create new thinking and strives to give a voice to people experiencing injustice and inequality.

Appointed to the Board May 2019.
