Drawing on Bree's extensive research, Bree and Sophie will delve into the stories and ideas behind some of the significant tapestries made by ATW, and consider what they reveal about the changing landscape of Australian art, craft and textile practice.

Tales from The Archive is made possible with the support of the Gordon Darling Foundation.

Dr Bree Di Mattina is an art historian, writer, curator and researcher based in Brisbane/Meanjin, specialising in textile and fibre art. Her current project, Mapping Public Textile Art, explores the intersection of textile and fibre art, architecture and public space, with a focus on increasing the visibility and awareness of publicly accessible textile works.
