Tim Gresham
Born in Brisbane, Tim Gresham received a Diploma of Creative Arts at the Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education, and first worked as a tapestry weaver at The Australian Tapestry Workshop (ATW) (1987-1992). In early 2020 Gresham re-joined the weaving team at the ATW as a senior weaver and teacher. Since 1992 Gresham has worked on his own art practice, exhibiting widely including solo exhibitions at Craft Victoria in 2004 and Craft ACT in 2011, the Cicely and Colin Rigg Contemporary Design Award, National Gallery Victoria, in 2003, and in Group Exchange the 2nd Tamworth Textile Triennial, 2014.
Gresham’s work is held in the art collections of City of Darebin, LA Trobe University Art Museum, Methodist Ladies College, Ararat Regional Gallery and Wangaratta Exhibitions Gallery.
