In 2018,13 Australian and international artists spent time immersed in the unique studio environment of the ATW as part of the annual Artist in Residence program. Open to artists working in any medium, and at any stage of their career, this residency program encourages rich cultural exchange between contemporary artists and ATW weavers.
AIR18 featured the works of Australian and international artists took part in the Artist in Residence program at the Australian Tapestry Workshop in 2018. From ceramics, sculptures, video, textiles, drawings and more, this exhibition celebrated a diversity of artistic disciplines and approaches.
