Join Us for Weaving Lab

Unleash your creativity in our hands-on Weaving Lab, where you’ll learn the basics of weaving and dive into an exploration of textures, patterns, colours, and materials.

Weaving Lab will be taught by ATW weaver Saffron Gordon, artist and tapestry weaver Ema Shin and artist and 2024 Kate Derum Award winner Anna Dunnill. Your ticket includes your own take home weaving kit to continue your weaving journey at home.

Whether you’re a beginner or just curious, you’ll create your very own small woven artwork in a fun and supportive atmosphere in the ATW weaving studio in South Melbourne.

Saturday 16 November, Session 1: 10AM – 12PM & Session 2: 2PM – 4PM at the Australian Tapestry Workshop.

Weaving Lab is supported by the City of Port Phillip. No previous experience required. Minimum age 16 years.
